The plan for last week was to go to Vegas to see Britney Spears as she finishes up her Planet Hollywood residency. But when that fell through, it was on to plan b. One Google search later for “quick getaways from NY” and I was booking a flight for Montreal.
I never realized just how close Montreal was to NY until I looked up the flight time. (Just under an hour!) As I began my research for what to do, I also never realized just how much Montreal had to offer. History, food, culture. I would only be visiting for two days, but I was determined to take in as much of the city as I could.
To be completely transparent, this trip didn’t go as planned at all. Conflicts and weather put a damper on things quickly and I ended up having to leave early. While I didn’t get to see or do much, I absolutely fell in love with what I did get to experience of Montreal. (I did get to see Notre Dame though which was incredible.) With Montreal so close by, there is no doubt in my mind that I will be back soon. (And this time, solo…)
